Hire React Native developers

Hire React Native developers who know where JavaScript ends and native begins

React Native lets your React team ship mobile apps. The hard parts are at the edges: native modules, performance on older phones and release pipelines. That is what we screen for.

Quick answer: what does a React Native developer do?

A React Native developer builds iOS and Android apps using React and JavaScript or TypeScript. The app renders real native components, and developers write or integrate native modules in Swift, Kotlin or Java when a feature needs direct device access.

TechNimbus supplies React Native developers from India on contract and dedicated terms, including developers who can also work on your React web app.

How we vet

What we test React Native developers on

Strong React skills are the starting point, not the finish line. We also test:

  • Expo and bare workflows: when Expo's managed tooling is enough and when a project needs to eject or use development builds.
  • Navigation: React Navigation or Expo Router, deep links and state that survives backgrounding.
  • Performance: FlatList tuning, avoiding bridge bottlenecks, Reanimated for animation and the newer architecture.
  • Native modules: reading and writing enough Swift or Kotlin to integrate an SDK or fix a build.
  • Releases: EAS or Fastlane, code signing, over-the-air updates and store review.
  • Shared code: sharing types, API clients and logic with a React web app without coupling the two.

Every developer passes a technical interview with a senior engineer on our side before you see their profile. You then interview them yourself.

When it fits

Why teams choose React Native

You already use React

Your web developers can read and review mobile code, and some can contribute directly.

Shared business logic

Validation, API clients and types shared between web and mobile.

Over-the-air updates

Ship JavaScript fixes without waiting for a full store review, within store rules.

Hiring flexibility

A large talent pool that overlaps with React web developers.

Native when needed

Drop into Swift or Kotlin for the features that need it.

Mature ecosystem

Well-supported libraries for payments, maps, analytics and push notifications.

FAQ

Common questions

Can a React web developer build React Native apps?

They can learn quickly, but mobile has its own challenges: navigation, native modules, performance on low-end devices and app store releases. For production apps, hire someone who has already shipped React Native to the stores.

Should we use Expo?

For most new apps in 2026, yes. Expo's development builds and EAS services remove much of the native setup pain while still allowing custom native code. Some apps with unusual native requirements are better on a bare workflow.

Can React Native apps perform as well as native apps?

For the vast majority of business and consumer apps, yes, especially with the newer architecture. Extremely graphics-heavy apps or games are better suited to native or a game engine.

Can one developer work on our web app and mobile app?

Yes. Many of our React Native developers also work in React for the web, which makes them a good fit for small teams with both.

What does a React Native developer in India cost?

Jellyfish Technologies' 2026 benchmarks put senior mobile developers in India at $45 to $70 an hour, and dedicated senior developers at $7,200 to $11,200 a month. We quote each role individually.
