Dedicated remote developers

Hire dedicated developers who work only on your product

A dedicated developer from TechNimbus is a full-time member of your team in everything but payroll. They join your standups, ship in your repository, and stay on your roadmap month after month.

Quick answer: what is a dedicated developer?

A dedicated developer is a full-time remote engineer who works exclusively on one client's product, on a rolling monthly arrangement. The client directs the day-to-day work; the provider handles employment, equipment, payroll and replacement.

With TechNimbus, dedicated developers work remotely from India, you interview them before they start, and you are billed a monthly fee agreed in writing beforehand.

What you get

A developer, not a ticket queue

One product, full-time

Your developer is not shared across five clients. Their working week belongs to your roadmap.

Your tools, your rhythm

They work in your Git, your board and your Slack or Teams, and attend your ceremonies like anyone else on the team.

You interview first

We screen technically, then you run your own interview. Nothing starts until you have met the person.

Agreed overlap hours

Fixed overlap with your time zone. For UK teams that usually means the whole morning and early afternoon.

Monthly, in writing

One monthly fee agreed before the start. No timesheet surprises at the end of the month.

Scale with notice

Add a second developer, a tester or a designer, or step down, with agreed notice rather than a renegotiation.

When it fits

Dedicated works best for long roadmaps

If the work will still be there in six months, a dedicated developer usually beats both freelancers and fixed projects.

Dedicated engagements suit companies that have a product and a backlog, and need more hands that stay. The developer builds context over months: your codebase, your customers, the decisions behind the odd parts of the system. That context is the thing you lose every time a freelancer rotates out.

It is the right model when:

  • You have a product roadmap of six months or more and want the same people on it throughout.
  • You already have a product owner or tech lead who can direct the work day to day.
  • You want to grow engineering capacity without the cost and delay of local hiring.
  • You are an agency that needs reliable white-label developers behind your own client work.

It is the wrong model when the work has a defined end. If you need a feature built and then you are done, a project build or a fixed-term contract will cost less.

How it works

From brief to first pull request

STEP 01

Brief call

We go through the role, stack, seniority, overlap hours and how your team works. You get a written role summary afterwards.

STEP 02

Shortlist

We put forward developers who match the brief and have passed our technical interview. Each comes with a short note on strengths and gaps.

STEP 03

Your interview

You interview as you would for any hire. Take-home task, live pairing or a systems conversation, whatever your team normally does.

STEP 04

Onboarding

Accounts, repository access, environments and a first small ticket. We check in at the end of the first week and the first month.

STEP 05

Monthly review

A short review each month on output, communication and fit, so small problems are fixed while they are small.

  • Salary plus benefits, equipment and office costs
  • Hard to reverse if the role changes
  • Best when the role is core and permanent
  • Gives you direct control of employment terms

FAQ

Common questions

How is a dedicated developer different from a freelancer?

A freelancer usually splits time across several clients and leaves when a better offer arrives. A dedicated developer works full-time on your product only, through a company that is accountable for continuity, and stays for as long as the engagement runs.

Can I hire a dedicated team instead of one developer?

Yes. Many clients start with one or two developers and add a tester, designer or second engineer as the roadmap grows. A team can be mixed, for example two React developers, one Node.js developer and one QA engineer.

Who manages the dedicated developer?

You direct the day-to-day work, set priorities and review output, exactly as you would with an in-house engineer. TechNimbus handles employment, equipment, payroll, leave cover and the monthly performance review.

What hours will the developer work?

Developers work from India on IST, with agreed overlap with your team. For UK clients a standard Indian working day covers most of the UK morning and early afternoon. US teams usually agree an early morning or late evening overlap window.

What happens if the developer is not working out?

Tell us early. We raise it at the monthly review or sooner, agree what needs to change, and if the fit is wrong we discuss a replacement with you rather than letting the problem drag on.

Is there a minimum term?

Minimum terms are agreed per engagement and written into the contract before you start, so you know exactly what you are committing to.
